| NOT all policies have accident forgiveness, even if the company offers it, you still have to ask for and pay for the feature. And it's still only good for ONE accident. Not one accident each driver. You'd have to read the policy to get the exact terms of the accident forgiveness, if you even have it.
There's nothing illegal about them SAYING it. But they have no legal force to make you actually DO it.
The kids can still get their own policies, but the owner of the car would have to be listed as well. All the cars do NOT have to be on the same policy. You just need to make sure that every car that is registered/titled in your name has sufficient coverage to protect you and your assets.
