| Get this. An elderly couple I know has been driving for over
40 years without a traffic citation or accdient. They recently had some financial difficulty and their credit rating was down-graded. They just got their renewal notice for their auto insurance policy and the premium has doubled.
The insurance company had obtained a credit score without their consent and now say that these credit problems predict that claims are immenent. IN other words 40 years of flawless driving means nothing if your credit is weak. Seems like this would be a potential class action high profile human interest case that some attorney could have a good time with. Can insurance companies do this? They live in Michigan.
