California- My son was hit by a car while crossing a street, the insurance company has accepted fault by the police report,my son has medical bills in excess of 13,000 dollars.Can I get the check from the insurance paid directly to me or must it go to the hospital?

Why would you want the check to be made out to, and be mailed, to you ?
