bicycle accident

What is the name of your state? Well I am in Ohio.
Here it goes, my son who is 10 was at a friends apartment outside playing. He had my permission to be there. He was riding this friend of his scooter. Of course he didnt come home to ask me if he could ride. OF couse if he would have I would have said no anyway for the record. He fell and hurt himself. Road rash and some minor scrapes and bruises which I am not at all worried about. But the scooter then hit another neighbors jeep and there was damage. The police came and asked for our info then gave us there address< the jeeps owner> and left. Took all my sons info and our info etc first. Am I liable for the Jeeps damages or is the owner of the scooter liable? If it was an auto the owner would be right? I am not to sure being just a life insurance underwriter> dont hold that against me though. I have no authority just a helper LOL Thanks

It really is a shame you are trying to teach your kid to avoid resonsibilty for his actions.

Jails are FULL of low life kids like that.

Pay the Jeep's owner for your kids damages, then have your kid work it off, to pay you back!
