business liability

NYC:
A couple own a private transportation business. Each have a car registered in their own name, but assume they share funds and drivers for this business, which they operate out of their shared home. If one of the vehicles causes an accident during business use, are both husband and wife potentially liable, even though each vehicle is registered to only one of the two?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If the cars are used for the business, then they should be registered and insured in the name of the company!

"Business" may not be "company". What is your business entity?
