What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ca

I was just given an insurance cash offer to settle damages caused to my motorcycle by their insured. They are offering close to it's actual value(assuming you can find a replacement). The motorcycle is kind of rare, no longer made, and tough to find in good condition. Someone mentioned on a motorcycle forum that I may be able to force them to repair the bike as opposed to accepting their offer(which would result in a salvage title if I keep it) depending on where I live. What are my options?

You can keep the bike if you take the salvage deduction, but it will be worth a LOT less with a salvage title, won't be rare or collectable anymore, and it will be hard to find insurance for it.
