car accident

What is the name of your state? Nebaraska,I was involved in a car accident ,the officer said it was a one car accident even though there was another car involed, the other car was at fault by not yielding, and recevied the ticket,my question is who is responable for my damage to my car, which has been totaled by the body shop.

Q: ...who is responable for my damage to my car...?

A: Sue the person who you think caused the accident and the court will answer your question.

I would think since the other driver was given a ticket for not yielding, then you call their insurance and file a claim for your car.

My response:

From your story, I gather there was no physical contact between the two vehicles, and that you probably lost control and hit some other object. Correct?
