Hi, I pulled into a parking lot where I had right of way and was hit by another driver. There was supposed to be a stop sign to indicate for the other driver to stop but it was missing. The police came and named the other driver at fault.
The vehicle I was driving belongs to my brother. That being said I don't want to go through his insurance company incase it affects his rate. Someone told me I can go through the other drivers insurance company. The accident took place in Florida but the car is registered/insured in Canada.
I took my vehicle to a body shop today and they said it's a few thousand dollars worth of damage.
Help please!
