car accident

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
michigan
I was in a car accident where I backed ended a car. There was no visible damage to my car or theirs and no body was hurt. The guy came out and told me I had 2 options: he was going to call the police or I could pay him and asked how much money I had. I didn't have any money at the time. He took my license number and license plate number. If there was no visible damages at the time, and he files an accident report, what can I expect in my insurance going up, other fees, etc?

In michigan, no clue. The most your insurance would have to pay if the other car was damaged is $500. You should have let him call the police.

There are way too many factors which determine premiums for anyone to guess what yours will be.

definately should have, the police would be able to tell the range of the damage, and things would have been much smoother. and most co's dont charge directly for less then 500 or 1000 dollars. ( you could loose a credit for being involved in any accident at all, but i only personally know of one co that does that.)
