Car Accident

Florida
Here is the situation: several kids are in a horrific car accident, 4 are killed and 1 survives. One of the mother's of one of the deceased children wasn't raising her son and lived in another state from him. Is she eligible to the same amount of the insurance money that the other 3 mother's that were raising their children?

If that's the child's next of kin, then yes. And really, that's none of your business, unless perhaps you are that child's other parent, or the person who was raising him.

I am one of the other parents and find it odd that she is asking for a larger share than all of us.

Maybe you should ask for a bigger share. How is that odd? If my daughter was killed in an accident I want the full limits with no "sharing" whether she lived with me or not. And that's if I'm not also going after the house, cars, tvs, and peace of the person who killed her.

My baby is irreplaceable.
