Car accident in Florida

I was 1 of 4 passengers in a car that was in an accident in Florida. The driver that we crashed with was at fault - we were driving through an intersection (green light) when a woman tried to cut across the intersection - causing a head-on collision.

I was taken to the hospital on a stretcher and was treated for cuts on my knees and arms. I was later treated and examined for problems with my knee, which is fully recovered minus a few scars. My neck and back were sore after the accident, but I would just stretch and deal with it. Finally, a little over 1 month after the accident, I went to a chiropractor because my neck and back were only getting worse. I received treatment from chiropractors for about 1 year and finally decided that they were not really helping me (although I felt better initially after my appointments). My back and neck have been bothering me ever since and I continue to suffer especially while doing anything athletic. I am a 24 yr old male and am very active.

What I am asking for advice on is my law suits against the guilty parties. The rental car company (of the woman that hit us in FL) has a max of $50,000 on the woman. Since there were 5 of us in the car, that would be split 5 ways. My medical bills in the past year have been about $3500, not to mention the physical and mental affects this has had on me and will continue to have. How much do you think my case is worth (after I have to pay the lawyer fees and medical bills? I know the laws in FL are different (I live in CT), who should I go after in my law suit? The rental company can NOT accomodate me splitting their $50,000 coverage.

Get a good Flordia lawyer

he will determine whom to sue.I would suggest that the 50,000 max coverage is per person. If your medical claims exceed any limit of coverage they are still responsible so you will need a lawyer for that and your final settlement.
