Car accident with no insurance

What is the name of your state? Utah
I was in a car accident yesterday and the other person was at fault. My insurance policy expired 2 days prior. Will his insurance still pay for my car to be fixed?

What did they say when you called and wanted to file a claim?

They didn't say much. The lady just took all my info, didn't even ask for my insurance info and said they would call me back. The other person admitted he hit me. So there's not a problem there.

I'm sure they will do their own fact finding search and get back to you. No one here can tell you if they are going to pay or not.

If the other party is determined to be at fault, then their company should pay. That is separate from whether or not you have insurance.

Did you quickly go out and get insurance in case its your fault next time? This is why the law requires insurance. What if it was your fault, and you didn't have insurance to pay for the damage to the other vehicle?
