My fiance was recently involved in a car accident, in which his truck was flipped over. the bartlett cops gave him the run around, and disregarded the witnesses that said that the lady that hit him ran the red light. he was driving on a valid missouri license and he never knew his illinois license was suspended because of unpaid parking tickets. nothing serious like DUI's. i was just wondering if anyone knows whats the worse that can happen to him. is he going to end up going to jail? if so does anyone know for how long. any information is much appreciated |

(a) It is a violation of this Section for any person:

1. Any person convicted of a violation of this Section shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and shall be sentenced to a minimum fine of $500 or 50 hours of community service, preferably at an alcohol abuse prevention program, if available.
2. Any person convicted of a second or subsequent violation of this Section shall be guilty of a Class 4 felony.
