I live in California and was involved in a car accident. Both insurance companies involved have ruled that the other party was at fault. My insurance (AAA) waived my deductable and haandled the reembursement for my totaled car. The other parties insurance (Farmers) is reemburseing me for medical and my rental car. The value of my totaled car was less then I owed by $488.00. Can I be reembursed for this amount by Farmers? And can I be reembursed for any of the money I had to put out to get a new car? Is this something the insurance co. and I can handle or do I need a lawyer?
