car damage

My employers basketball hoop fell on the hood of my car? My employer seems to think that they are not responsible for the $1000.00 of damage.

MY RESPONSE: That isn't a question. Please delete the question mark.

MY RESPONSE: Okay. And your question is . . . .?

What caused the hoop to fall on your car? And how did your employer cause this to happen?

Shouldn't my employer be responsible for the damage? Would I have to quit to sue them?

**A: why have you not answered the questions posed by racer72?
********

Would I have to quit to sue them?

**A: no, you can sue them while still employed there.

Where does anybody say anything about quitting your job in order to sue you employer? If you want your employer to pay for the damage, you will have to prove negligence, and you have given no proof that your employer was negligent. I will ask again, how did the hoop end up on your car?

Damaged car

When I pulled in Sat. The basketball hoop was laying on the ground away from my car. I believe that the residents of the agency (different program) decided to put it up and play basketball. I came back and the hoop was laying down right in front of my car. I noticed the damage. The hoop belongs to the agency, it is their property.
