Car hit a rock next to my driveway

What is the name of your state? Ohio
A rock that marks the edge of my drive was hit by a relative. There are several rocks around a turnaround and they sit off the drive on the grass. The drive is 12' wide where the rock was hit. The person that hit the rock damaged their car and wants me to pay to have it repaired. I am sure something can be worked out but what is my liability. My homeowners insurance said the driver is at fault regardless of the location of the rock. The rock is about 75 lbs.

The driver is at fault. He hit a stationary object. Your insurance company is correct.

By the driver's logic, you should have to pay for damages to their vehicle if they crashed into your house because it's a stationary object on your property. Your liability is zero.
