i play softball in a city league, pasadena, ca. my game for the evening was a forfeit by the other team, we played a scrimmage game on the field that we had reserved for our game. i hit a ball that went over the fence and struck a parked car. the league and the owner of the car say im liable, how can i find out if am?

My response:

They may not like it, but California law says you're not responsible. Let them sue you. It's okay. A judge will tell them the same thing I'm telling you - - being as how they won't believe you, or for that matter, me.
