My fence and a neighbors fence was struck by a vehicle in what the police have stated is a drug deal gone wrong (I live in a quiet little community at a dead end street this individual was completely lost). The drivers insurance company has tried to get both my neighbor and I to go though our homeowners insurance, which we have refused. The insurance company is now stating he was being car jacked and it was not his fault therefore they are not responsible for the damages. What recourse do we have? It was clear that it was not a car jacking to the officers and neighbors who witnessed it.
