| Choosing who is at fault
Ok i was involved in and accident in which i pulled into a parking spot and rubbed up against a truck that was parked over the white line, meaning he was double parked. This happened on a college campus. I am wondering if it is both my fault and his fault, me for hitting his car and him for parking illegally, or is it just my fault for rubbing up against his truck. There was really no damge to his truck just some plastic residue that rubbed onto his paint, but i was able to rub it off. His paint was not chipped at all. He said there looked like there was a dent but i felt the whole panel and didnt feel any dent. I am pretty good with cars, so i even felt the inside of the panel to see if it really had a dent and i could feel anything. Oh yeah and my car got some paint rubbed off the bumper. I can fix this fairly easily with touch-up paint and a little wet sanding, so that's no biggy. Please help with the at fault part. |
