What is the name of your state?ca

I was involved in an accident in July 2004. The insurance company that was at fault wanted to total my car. At that time I didn't think it was necessary and opted out. Now I see why they wanted to total it. My question is, would they still total my car for me? I heard claims are valid for 1 year. Does that mean I can change my mind?

Well, then..

Call your insurance company and tell them you want to reinstate your claim. You have nothing to lose, one way or the other...
