A coconut crashed my car!

US Virgin Islands

I park my car in the resident parking lot at the condo I rent. The lot is lined with palm trees on one side (eventually you have to park near one). A coconut fell and crashed through my windshield. My question: Is the owner of my condo or the condominum Association resposible at all for any damages? My lease states they are only liable when neglegent. Would planting 'dangerous' trees around cars be considered neglegent?

Since the tree was there first I think the question should really be: Am I careless for parking my car around dangerous trees?

Is that a pick up line???

If you like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the Cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape."
