Court Appearence

What is the name of your state? OH

I have to appear at court on Friday March 28 for an accident that my friend got into with my car. I did not know that he did not have a license. I have insurance on my car which is covering the other cars damages. I recieved a ticket for letting him drive without a license. I was wondering what possible charges I am facing since I did not know he had a license. I have no money for an attorney. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Have you contacted your insurance? Will they not hire a defense attorney for you?

This is a traffic ticket, not a lawsuit.

Tell the judge the truth and hope he goes easy on you.

Advice Please!

For this ticket, I recieved a $100 fine + court costs. My friend only recieved $50 fine + court costs.
Now I have been informed by my insurnace company that my car is not covered by people who drive without a license (my friend). So now I am wondering what might happen as a result of this. Do I have to pay everything out of pocket? It is not yet confirmed that I am not completely covered, it is still under review. I just want to be prepared for what I am facing now.

Another Question - My friend did not have his license, only had to pay a reinstatement fee of $125 to get them back at the time. Now, even though nothing was said in court about his license, is there now a period of time he will have to wait to get his license?

Any help would be great - thanks!
