Crash report availability?

Greetings,

Can somebody advise me whether it is possible to get an information about car accident that happened in July 2008 in Pennsylvania? I do not need any specific personal info about persons involved, I need just to know the extent of the accident, how seriously the injuries were and to what extent the car was damaged. I have bought a used car here in Russia and the check by carfax by VIN has revealed that the car was restored after an accident. I have police crash report number.

Best regards!

Contact the police agency that was involved and ask them.

I did already. I called Pennsylvania police car accident departament, they told me the information can be supplied only if I was personally involved or on subpoena. Does that mean I have no hope to find out what actually happened to this vehicle?

That is what they told you...

Besides, if the car was repaired, what's the problem?

The vehicle history report should include the cost to repair.

I doubt the police report would be useful to you.

I recently picked up a copy of the police report from an accident I was involved in. All it said was that there were injuries, there was damage, and the other driver was at fault. If did not describe the injuries or damage.
