I live in FL and was driving to work when a large object fell over the side of a city garbage truck and damaged my truck. I got to work, called the sanitary department and filed a claim that morning and sent multiple repair estimates, as required. Unfortunatley I did not think to call the police and get a police report. The claim handler confirmed that the truck I identified was in the vicinity but he says he need "somrthing to substantaite my claim"? Does this come down to my word against theirs, even though I obtained the tag # and city truck #??? HELP!!!
