What is the name of your state? NJ -- I was served to send in a anser by plaintiff about an accident and the 35 days had passed and I did forgot to send the payments in. The attorney for the plaintiff entered a default judgement against me. Can I still send in the payment to avoid further actions? Or is it really too late? Its just 5 day late now. I atually sent the answer in before but they sent it back for missing payment and then by the time i received the mail the time limit has passed.

There is already a judgement against you. Now you need to SATISFY the judgement. You need to contact the people you owe the money to, to arrange for payment. Otherwise they can freeze your bank accounts and possibly garnish your wages.

You will need to file a motion to set aside the default and the judgment in order to allow you to file your answer to the complaint. You will need to explain you timely sent in the paperwork but failed to send in payment.
