I am from Oregon state. The DMV tried my husband for an accident and found him guilty of failing to stop at a stop sign and suspended hislicense for a year but allowed a work permit. Then in the county court, he pleaded guilty to criminally neg. homicide and part of the plea was no jail
time and the loss of his driving license for 5 years but he could get a work permit. Now the DMV is claiming that they are suspending his license for 8 years with no work permit. Is this legal? Can the DMV rule over a county judge? Is this double jeopardy? Please help us.
