| If he is not driving one of your cars, you do not have to provide insurance for him. I went through the same thing with my daughter, even though she had her own car and her own insurance, my insurance insisted on that she has to be on my policy. I ended up changing insurance companies over this but I saved money too. Sounds like an insurance agent trying to make a little more on his commision.
