Would a person have a solid case for a law suit against me in NYC for the following scenario??
A boy entered through the front gate of the house and was bit by the family dog on the front porch once inside the yard.
We have a (approx. 8" by 8") sign posted on the gate stating "beware of dog" and also have a cord which wraps around the gate to secure it closed in addition the the latch lock.
Does the posted sign and the closed gate, along with the fact the boy entered the yard without permission help my side should any action be brought upon the family?
