I Was driving my friend scooter to drop his mails to post office. I didn’t know it was mechanically defective (tire) and while driving, loose my balance and got accident (puncture tire) . I didn’t hit anybody, just got slipped on the road. Got some minor injuries but hospital expenses was around $12k (MRI etc..). Later on police report shows its "caused by defective equipment and not the fault of the driver". My car insurance denied paying for my medical bills (2 wheel vehicle is not covered). I am not sure how should I peruse. I am not sure if my friends insurance will pay or not. Can someone suggest what’s is likelihood of paying by bills by my friends insurance? How are my legal standings? (Defective bike drove from owner’s permission with his request to drop the mails).

Thanks all.

Rather than attempt to speculate about what your friend's insurance company might do, why don't you file a claim through them and see what the response is?
