Driving without MOT and Road Tax.

HI all just joined.

Need some advice here. My wife was stopped by the police last night as a result of a spot check on her vehicle, she has had no MOT done on her car for 2 years and has not payed any UK road tax on her car since 2011. She is really worried, is she facing just fines or fines and points on her licence ?
