Drunk driver plowed into business doors

What is the name of your state? PA

20 yr old plowed into the front door of business while open. No one hurt. What can be covered by this person. Loss of income? Physical damages?

What do you mean "what can be covered by this person?"
Was that meant to mean what is this person liable for in terms of monetary damages?

If so, then whatever the actual losses are which obviously are the damages to the building. The loss of income will be very hard to prove. Seeing there isn't a door there right now, it might be difficult to convinve a judge that people couldn't get into the building

Yoou can shoot for what ever you can prove but do not forget, you have a responsibility to mitigate your damages. That means you have to do whatever you reasonably can to prevent loss of income.

We are not to worried about prooving a loss of income. Half the customers left, and very few returned the next two days since the entrance was boarded up.

But thank you for the ideas.

That does not prove any loss of income. Just a momentary fluctuation of customer count.

When you say "boarded up", were customers still able to get in?

Good luck, but realize that if this kid has insurance, you will be up against the insurance company's attorney.

If they were able to get in, how did the accident cause the loss of business?
