A drunk driver rearended me at a stop light, State farm insurance paid for my bumper, to be fixed but won,t pay for the twisted transmission mount or anything else?on a supplemental? they say the damage was not caused by the accident but it was not twisted before the accident! what can i do? file a suit at the courthouse? or?

My response:

Yes, file suit in Small Claims court against the other driver. Make sure you subpoena a mechanic who can testify for you that the only way the other damages could have been caused would be due to the accident.

If your State allows it, you might want to add a request for "punitive damages" to your complaint because the other driver was drunk.
