I was recently involved in a slip and fall in my apartment because the landlord did not fix the bathroom light that has been broke since Nov. 2000 and she knew about it. Now she is going to try and evict us on some lies that someone else told her. I declined to file suit on her when the accident occured however I did not sign anything releasing her. What steps do I need to take to file suit on her and how hard will it be to prove my case. I have pictures of the light and various other problems. She is also not complying with the lease that she signed. I live in New Mexico.
