| Assuming from your post that you were causally negligent in the accident, then ( although the laws do differ from state to state) the other driver and/or his insurance co may be able to come after you. In many states where an insurance co has paid benefits for an insured then that insurance co becomes what is called "subrogated" to the insured and can bring claims to the extent of benefits paid. It would be wise to consult with an attorney in your state as to what are your risks and if there is anything that can now be done to protect yourself.
