My neighbor acrossed the street falsely accused me of backing out of my driveway and hit his car, which is parked on the other side of the street from my driveway. I am 100 percent certain that I nor any authorized operator of my vehicle hit his car. The neighbor did not witness the accident, yet he summoned police to question me if I have hit his car because there are dents in my car. These dents--predominantly on the side of the car--are from hits from other vehicles, ironically, while I parked on the street. The dent on his car is on the right rear of his SUV and it's pretty significant and high up on the chasse. My car is a sedan, and if I were to hit his car on the upper right side rear, I am not sure if this is possible, while backing up I would have damage on my rear right side of my car. There are no such damage anywhere on my car. Are there any legal recourse to his false accusations? |
