What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?pennsylvania...... mom was killed in auto accident 2weeks ago..her car was totaled.they are paying a little more than what is owed..the question is, with this type of insurance:

bodily injury $15- $30,000
property damage $10,000
personal injury $15 -$3000
property protection $10,000

Not from what you have listed. PIP will cover any medical bills. If the accident was someone else fault you can file a lawsuit against that person.

So sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss.

If the vehicle was financed make sure and check if part of the terms of the financing included either gap insurance or life insurance. Either of those could pay off whatever was left owed on the vehicle, and/or may provide some other sort of monetary "benefit". I hate that word when talking about life insurance---in order for it to be a benefit, someone has to pass away.:(
