As an FYI, if a police report WERE filed, they could not legally assign fault in the collision, anyway.

As Zigner correctly pointed out, the reporting requirement for damage over $750 is required to be made to the DMV - not to law enforcement.

Which brings us back to...
OP - how much was the damage? (I'm not holding my breath for an answer :( )

The DMV accident report form says that a report must be filed within ten days of the accident. The damages are much greater $750. However, it is now day 14. I hope DMV will still take it.

DMV WILL take the form. In fact, if the other party follows through with the law and reports it, the DMV will send you a copy of the form to fill out.
