Yesterday I had a small fender bender
this occured during the day on a target parking lot
we were both backing out of our respective parking spots opposite of each other
so when we bumped we formed a V shape in the middle of the street

I have a dodge dakota 94, the other party had a sports vehicle


The other parties bumper came off because apparantly my bumper hooked hers and when we drove forward to park at our original spots it ended up taking her bumper off
My position is that I had backed out first and hence I had the right of way
The other party position is that we backed out at the same time

We dont know if Targets camera caught it on tape but would this change liability?

If found that we both were at fault would I be liable for the other parties damages?

You both will probably be determined at fault, and your insurance company will probably fix your vehicle, while theirs will fix their vehicle.
