What is the name of your state? ky. i was hit in the side with a fourwheeler the driver was 14 years old. his parents said they would pay for my car if i got an estamiate, so idid it was 2,100.00 the parents want pay me. i was told by someone that i can take them to small claims court and the judge would award me 1,500.00 over the estamiate since he was a minor. i was told it would be called a minor mischivous. my question is would this be true for the stateof ky. i was also told their is no limit time on this to file.

you can easily find out the answers to your questions by calling the small claims court which has jurisdiction over your case. most causes of action do have a statute of limitations and no money is automatic in court.
