I sold my car to a friend a few months ago with the agreement (on paper) that he pay for the insurance and $100/month until I came back from out of the country, at which point we would complete the paperwork and transfer the title. Now, he's nowhere to be found and I am still obligated to pay for the insurance until he turns in the plates in MA, where the car is registered. I'm considering calling the police and reporting the car as stolen. Is this my only option?

Interesting option..... But turning in a false report is also a crime.
