gf got smashed

ok I'm from van island canada and about a year ago my girl friend got hit by a car while crossing on a sidewalk. She ended up going right over the car and landing on her head behind it. It was a lady driver also and she was not looking where she was driving and also is vary sorry about this. She was in the hospital for about 3 days and only suffered a concuccion<spelling. At the moment she is only 18, but she was 17 when this happend. She is turning 19 in mid august so that is when she going to take the driver to court. Because of the hit she suffered a lot of pain from her knee witch hit the car. We went to the hospital and gotten lots of x-rays and scans of her knee and had docters over look the photo's. So she has something called "Patell Femoral Pain Sysndrom" in her right knee, so with this she is not suppost to be doing any sports witch she injoys like ski/snowboarding, soccer, ect. Also she has trubbles running, and lifting items more than 20lbs off the ground. She also suffers miner head and neck pains / wisplash<spelling often. We have all the scans of her knee burnt onto a cd from the hospital for proof when we goto court. But the real question we're all wondering(my gf/famaly, friends) is how much money we should be asking from court? Also what are other things we should be doing and have for the court case? Sadly we do not wish to have a lawyer because they tent to be gold diggers.

Someone please look over this, and thank for you any info you can provide us with.

Despite this being a forum on U.S. law only, I was going to help out but then I read this, "Sadly we do not wish to have a lawyer because they tent to be gold diggers".

So I have decided to fold up my tent and leave.

Good luck, eh.

you know some things are not to differnt between canada and the us, besides people in us being more stupid. all i asked was a plain simple question and all i needed was a simple oppion. then you rather not help me because i post a true statement about lawyer being gold diggers you go off and cry about it. maybe you never dealed with a lawyer in your life befor, didnt realise that people dont work for nothing. or that your a lawyer yourself and know it's true. I just watched a great movie the other day called FAHRENHEIT 9/11, great movie, if you havent seen it might be a great idea to go watch it. also you might as well and rent all Michael Moore's movies and watch them.

good day.

Interesting that you believe the people of the U.S. are more stupid than Canadians, yet you come to a U.S. legal forum for answers to Canadian legal issues, have the spelling ability of a 4 year old and the logic of a 2 year old.

Since the injured party is only your girlfriend, you have no legal standing to do anything. so why dont you get your girlfriend to limp to an attorney and make sure you stay out of the consultation. if the attorney sees and hears you, there is no way your girlfriend will get an attorney to represent her.

good luck, eh.
