got nailed

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? arizona

so i backed into a spot in a parking structure. i go back to it in the morning to go to work and my front end is just blasted. there's cameras that video cars when they enter and when they leave but not inside the garage by my car.

my question is how will this unfold. will the police take a report and try and follow up on it to find the guy/girl or is this something they don't really care about considering its on private property and would probably be pretty hard to see the driver in the car that hit me to implicate him/her?

thanks for the help.

You will not be able to find out who hit your car unless the actual accident was caught on tape. Otherwise, if you have collision coverage you can make a claim on that and pay the deductible. Life is unfair sometimes.
