GRANDMA'S FIGHT AGAINST INSURACE COMPANY

MY GRANDMOTHER IS A 76 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO IS IN A LOSING BATTLE WITH HER INSURANCE COMPANY.SHE OWNS A HOME THAT IS UNINHABITABLE BECAUSE OF WATER AND WEATHER DAMAGE.SHE HAS BEEN IN A 8 YEAR FIGHT WITH HER INSURANCE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO PAY HER THE FULL AMOUNT OF HER COVERAGE.ALL OF HER PROPERTY INSIDE OF THE HOUSE HAS BEEN RUINED,AND SHE'S OWNED THE HOUSE SINCE THE 1940'S.THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT SHE STARTED OUT WITH ONE COMPANY(I WILL NAME IF NECESSARY)WITH $154,000 WORTH OF COVERAGE.THAT COMPANY WAS BOUGHT OUT BY ANOTHER COMPANY WHO CLAIMED THAT SHE ONLY HAD $75,000 OF COVERAGE.BECAUSE SHE IS ELDERLY,AND HAS OWNED THE HOUSE FOR SO LONG,SHE CANNOT FIND THE ORIGINAL INSURANCE DOCUMENT.EVENSO,THEY ARE ONLY OFFERING HER $25,000 TO FIX A HOUSE THAT HAS AT LEAST $70,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE,NOT TO MENTION LOST RENT MONIES.IT HAS REALLY TAKEN A TOLL ON HER HEALTH,AS WELL AS ADVERSELY AFFECTING OUR FAMILY TIES.

Was there an investigation of the cause and origin of the fire? What was the cause of the fire?

Some states have limitations periods as short as one year to file suit against a responsible party or an insurance company for a property damage claim.

I also wanted you to know that it is water damage done to the house because the drainage got clogged by a neighbors pine tree needles.Thirdly,adjusters have come out on more than one occasion,but keep trying to pay less money than the estimated amount necessary to repair the damages.

Look in the yellow pages under "Public Adjustors" or "Adjustors" for a representative that will pursue the claim for your grandmother. Many times public adjustors will know more about this type of loss than lawyers. They can refer your grandmother to a lawyer if litigation against her insurance company is necessary. However, do not wait any longer to pursue the claim. It may already be too late since the loss occurred so long ago.
