| | | the guy dented my door and his insurrance is totaling my vechile Missouri
The guy was at fault, he wasn't paying attention and he dented my door in. His insurance adjuster wants to total my vehicle because damage done is more than the worth of the vehicle. which is total bs because my vehicle has brand new tires and a NEW ENGINE! it works perfectly. still does... just needs some repair so the door will shut. here is a copy of a law sheet that i found http://www.glassbytes.com/documents/newsSB77520080222.pdf for missouri state.... what can i do? i am a poor college student... i need a vehicle or im screw... thanks guys |

| | | Even with a new engine, it may not be worth very much. Numbers don't lie and total loss is determined all by the numbers. Tell them you want to keep the car and accept whatever they give you.

| | | If you really REALLY want to keep the vehicle, negotiate a 'buy-back' of the vehicle from the insurance salvage... and get it fixes yourself.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| | | If a dent in the door is enough to total the car, I'm gonna venture a guess that the salvage value is negligible and they'd be offering him minimum basic transportation value anyway.

| | | A new engine WILL add to the value of an old vehicle. But not necessarily enough to prevent it from being totalled.

What do you think it is?
How much will it cost to fix the door?
Who is paying for your substitute transportation?
Where is the vehicle now? Who is paying for the storage? |

Where is the vehicle now? Who is paying for the storage? | One other important question: What kind of vehicle is it? (Year, make, model & mileage)
