Help!!

What is the name of your state? Virginia

I was in an auto accident recently where my front end hit the back end of another car. Mine was a green minivan, and his was a little blue saturn. It was a low speed collision- the police officer said judging from the damages I must have been going only five miles per hour- but my car is still wrecked. SInce he's slammed on his breaks and I'd slammed on mine, his back end went up, and my front end went down. His bumper missed my bumper completely and hit right inot my engine, causing it to crush and my airbags to pop. the totals on my car are about $5000, and while I don't know the estimate on the other car, his bumper was only dinged. Because of the nature of the accident, the police officers all agreed that though as far as insurance is concerned the accident was my fault, they didn't charge me with anything and found it unaviodable. At the accident scene, the man in the other car was very genial and told me he was in no pain. NOw, he's threatening to sue for whiplash. Here's my questions:

How much money can he sue me for, and since I've just turned 18, do I have to pay for it or are my parents liable?

you don't pay anything - your insurance does.

why is he threatening you? Give him your insurance phone number and tell him to talk to him, they will take care of it.

and yes he can sue you for whiplash... but he won't need to sue because the insurance will pay.
