Help!!! Fighting suspended licence in NY, need New licence in CA.

hi, everyone.
one quick question... my licence is suspended in the NYS. but i am still fighting with the DMV in NYS for my licence.. i need to move to California in the next month, can i get a new licence in California while i have a suspended NYS licnece? or is there any other ways i can get a new licence in California?

Unless you get it cleared up in NY first you probably won't be able to get a CA license.
