    hit and run

What is the name of your state? Texas

I have been notified by the police department that I have been involved in a hit and run. I got in my truck after doing some shopping and put the car in reverse while looking back to see if someone was coming up the drive lane. All was clear. I proceeded to back out. I came to a stop. I looked back into the left side mirror and noticed a small truck backing out of a space two spots behind me. I saw him put on the breaks. He was still halfway in the parking spot. I noticed he was close to me, but I felt no impact. I didn't hear any noises to believe he hit me. I just believed he got a little too close and stopped in time. I put the car in drive and proceeded up the drive lane an drove off. A week later I received a letter in the mail to the dismay, I have been in a hit and run. What are the possible risks on my part? The accident wasn't my fault, but what can I do?
