I am extremely worried , please advice.

few days back in a parking lot while reversing I hit the rear of another car. I got down from my car and checked and nothing was wrong( at least that's what I thought). I checked my car as well and until next day I did not realise a scratch on rear bumper of my car . I left the scene and I think some kids saw me.. and finally the police came to my house. The police tell me that there is minor damge to the other car and he looked at my car as well.

Police is investigating is this is a hit and run case and yet to prepare a report.

Request some advice from you folks..I am very very worried.

why didn't you leave a note for the other car's owner? was this at night or day?

odds are nothing much will happen except the other owner will make a claim against your insurance carrier.

I did not leave a note as I did not see any damage at all. It was day time.
I realise I should have left a message..

I am pretty worried and spoke to some attornry (through this forum itself) and he says wait till police sends anything home.

I am so anxious that perhaps unnecessarily called the police to see if teh report was ready and it is not ready yet.

donot know what else can i do?
