What is the name of your state? Tennessee

I just received a letter stating that my vehicle was involved in a hit and run. I was not in possession of my vehicle at the time. Come to find out my bf barely hit a parked car at the mall parking lot, he didnt see any damage so he left. Well someone saw the incident occur and turned in my plate nbr. I dont know what to expect. I called the nbr on the letter but had to leave a msg. I just dont like going into things blindly so I want to know what could happen or what I should prepare for??? What happens now?
