hit and run in my work's parkinglot.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

someone hit my car and left in my work's parking lot. my work is saying they're not liable. I was in a camera blind spot so we couldn't see who did it. I work here which means I have no choice but to park here so I'm now afraid that my car will keep getting hit. The damages this time alone will most likely be $2000. Why should I pay for it?

1. You don't carry the proper insurance coverage.
2. Your company did not cause the damage.
3. I would bet you could park elsewhere if you wanted.
4. You are a masochist.
5. You don't like driving dented cars.
6. The guy that drives the red Ford Escort did not hit your car.
7. Neither did the well endowed blonde that drives the white Honda.
8. Yo Mama didn't raise no fool
9. Someone somewhere don't like you.
10. David Letterman says you should.

In a perfect world, you wouldn't have to pay for it (either out of pocket, or through insurance). In a perfect world, the person who caused the damages would come to you, apologize and make good on any and all necessary repairs. However, even in a perfect world, your employer didn't cause the damage (unless your employer was the one driving the car that hit yours).

We live in a less-than-perfect world. That's why God created insurance (well, His/Her accountants, at least).

And - Racer, that was cool
